Decorating a Console Table

Another lazy Sunday at the house - we are having built-ins put in next to the fireplace in the living room so we've pretty much been restricted to the house for the last few weekends. Hopefully they will be done next week! Cannot wait to see the final results!

I have slowly, but surely, been working my way through the new house, mostly making sure that it's livable for now but I was able to finish my first project for the new house (the entryway console table) and I can say with conviction that I really love the way that it turned out.

In this house we have an inordinately long entry hallway that really needed something to take away the feeling that this is a "shot-gun" house. After a few weeks of online shopping I found a console table at World Market that was the right design and dimensions for the entry.

Not quite the right color, but an easy fix... A few coats of black semi-gloss later, we had ourselves a console table.

In all honesty, the accessories will probably change a million times but the table is a keeper. One space down, feels like a million more to go!
